First Ever Irish Passport Clinic in the Napa Valley

First Ever Irish Passport Clinic in the Napa Valley

Community Champions from Powerscreen of CA, NV, & HI’s Napa office were honored to host an Irish Passport Clinic in collaboration with the Irish Immigration Pastoral Center and the Consulate General of Ireland, SF.

This event, held on October 22nd, 2025, saw 26 Irish passport applications successfully processed from employees within Powerscreen of CA, NV, & HI as well as individuals and families from the wider local community in the North Bay region of California. The first of its kind in the area, this event brought essential consular services directly to participants, saving them the time and travel that is typically required for in-person appointments.

Many employees of Powerscreen of California took advantage of this great opportunity. In total there were 9 applications/renewals from Powerscreen of California’s staff alone. Some include Lisa Gillen, Customer Care & Community Champion, Powerscreen of CA, who renewed her own Irish passport while her and Andrew Gillen’s, Senior Vice President of Sales, Powerscreen of CA, two children applied for their first ever Irish passports.

“We are proud to stand alongside the Irish community and to celebrate the strong cultural ties that enrich our workplace and local area. Having the Irish Consulate and the IIPC come directly to our office made the process incredibly easy and meaningful,” said Lisa. “It was wonderful to renew my passport alongside my children as they applied for theirs for the first time.”

Celine Kennelly, Executive Director, IIPC, expressed her gratitude to Powerscreen of California, Nevada, & Hawaii for generously hosting the clinic and making this community outreach initiative possible. “Our recent passport clinic in Napa Valley was more than a success – it was a celebration of connection, identity, and Irish pride. Each clinic reminds us that our heritage lives not only in Ireland, but in every person that carries that connection forward, even in The United States of America.”

“It was a real privilege to host the IIPC and Consulate General of Ireland at our Napa office,” said Gary McConn, President, Powerscreen of CA, NV, & HI. “As someone who renewed my own Irish passport and helped my two daughters apply for theirs for the first time, I saw firsthand how meaningful this service was, not just for our employees, but for families across our community. As a company we believe in being active in our community to support real people and real needs. Our Community Champions did just that with this clinic.”

The success of this event reflects Powerscreen of CA’s dedication to fostering community partnerships and promoting cultural inclusion. By working together with organizations like the IIPC and the Consulate General of Ireland, Powerscreen of CA continue to create opportunities that bring people together to celebrate the shared experiences that connect us all. Community Champions from Powerscreen of California’s Napa location were grateful for the opportunity to give back to the Irish community in the Valley and surrounding area of Northern California by making this process easier and further connecting individuals and their children to Ireland.

EMBRACING HERITAGE & COMMUNITY

With deep Irish roots across our team and the products we offer, supporting the wider Irish community across the North Bay was very personal for many of us.
