CONEXPO 2026 Wrap Up

High Production Equipment on Display at CONEXPO 2026

CONEXPO‑CON/AGG 2026 set the stage for some of the most anticipated heavy equipment debuts in the construction, aggregates, and materials processing sectors. As attendees moved through the packed halls and outdoor displays in Las Vegas, many gravitated toward standout machines from leading brands represented by Powerscreen of California, Nevada, & Hawaii. From heavy-duty MAGNA crushers to high‑horsepower CBI grinders and advanced yellow iron from Kobelco and Hyundai, the show offered a first look at the technologies shaping the future of the industry.

For visitors, the event provided a unique chance to examine newly launched machines up close and explore how manufacturers are pushing boundaries in production capacity, efficiency, and versatility. Several models drew significant attention for their scale, engineering updates, and performance capabilities.

New and Improved Machine Solutions

At the Terex stand, the heavy-duty MAGNA MT130J jaw crusher stood out immediately due to its sheer scale. Making its first public appearance at CONEXPO, the machine represents a new high-capacity offering designed for large quarry operations, mining sites, and heavy-duty aggregate production. The crusher’s massive feed opening and heavy-duty design made it one of the most imposing pieces of equipment on display. Built to process large, blasted rock while maintaining consistent throughput, the MT130J is engineered for applications where mobile equipment must handle material volumes traditionally reserved for stationary plants.

The machine features a feed opening of approximately 51 by 39 inches and an operating weight of roughly 187,000 pounds. The heavy duty vibrating grizzly feeder helps regulate material flow into the large jaw, allowing operators to efficiently process oversized rock. Hydraulic crusher setting adjustment allows quick changes to product size, while an advanced control system helps operators monitor and optimize machine performance.

For producers focused on maximizing throughput from a mobile platform, the MT130J demonstrates how manufacturers like MAGNA are scaling up crushing technology to meet the demands of modern aggregate operations. The first unit showcased at the event is available in the Western United States through Powerscreen of California, Nevada, & Hawaii, giving regional producers the opportunity to bring this new heavy-duty crusher into their operations.

Another machine attracting attention at the Terex stand was the improved Powerscreen Trakpactor 480SR, a horizontal shaft impact crusher. The Trakpactor 480SR is engineered to produce a finished product directly from the crusher while recirculating oversized material back through the impactor for additional reduction. Its two-deck post-screen system allows the crusher to separate finished material while sending larger pieces back to the crusher chamber. The addition of an underpan feeder helps remove fines before they reach the main discharge conveyor, reducing wear on the belt and improving overall efficiency.

The Powerscreen of California team also shared that there was significant interest in the CBI 5900T grinder, the newest horizontal grinder from CBI. The 5900T is designed for large-scale grinding projects and features a 755hp engine. Its infeed rotor is an impressive 60” wide, allowing operators to process large logs, stumps, and bulky organic debris with minimal preprocessing. Depending on material type, the grinder can produce more than 150 tons of processed material per hour. The tracked undercarriage allows the machine to move easily around large job sites, while magnetic metal detection systems help separate ferrous material when processing debris.

For biomass producers, mulch operations, and land clearing contractors, machines like the 5900T illustrate how grinding technology continues to evolve toward higher horsepower and higher production capacity.

Yellow Iron Innovations

Beyond the materials processing equipment displays, two other world-leading brands that Powerscreen of California represent used the event to showcase new machines. At the Hyundai Construction Equipmentbooth, the company introduced five new models in their Next Generation HX crawler excavator lineup.

The updated machines were designed with improved hydraulic efficiency, advanced operator controls, and new engine technologies that deliver at least 9% greater fuel efficiency compared with previous models. The HX series is widely used for heavy excavation, site preparation, utility work, and quarry support operations.

By improving fuel efficiency while maintaining the lifting capacity and digging power contractors expect from crawler excavators, the new HX models reflect the industry’s growing focus on lowering operating costs without sacrificing performance.

Another machine that drew engagement was the Kobelco SK850LC excavator at the Kobelco Construction Machinery booth. This conventional tail swing excavator is designed for large-scale excavation projects including quarry work, mass earthmoving, and infrastructure development. The SK850LC operates in the 90-ton class and is powered by a high-output diesel engine designed to deliver strong digging force and lifting capability for demanding applications. The machine features a reinforced boom and arm structure, heavy-duty undercarriage, and hydraulic systems engineered for high performance.

Another major brand represented by Powerscreen of California is Bell Trucks America, where several articulated dump trucks were displayed to demonstrate their role in large earthmoving and quarry operations.

Among the machines on display were the Bell B30E Articulated Dump Truck and the Bell B45E Articulated Dump Truck. These trucks represent two of the most widely used models in Bell’s articulated dump trucklineup for Powerscreen of California’s customers. The B30E offers a payload capacity of roughly 30 tons and is designed for medium- to large-scale construction and quarry hauling applications. The larger B45E increases payload capacity to approximately 41 tons, allowing operators to move significantly more material per cycle on large earthmoving projects. Their articulated chassis allows for improved traction and maneuverability on challenging job sites.

Vision for where Equipment Design is Heading

For guests attending CONEXPO, the machines displayed across the booths that Powerscreen of Californiastaff based themselves at highlighted several major trends shaping the future of heavy equipment.

Manufacturers are continuing to increase the size and production capacity of mobile equipment, allowing operators to achieve higher throughput while maintaining easy mobility. At the same time, yellow iron manufacturers are introducing excavators and hauling equipment with improved fuel efficiency, operator comfort, and advanced monitoring systems. Together, these developments reflect an industry focused on improving productivity while reducing operating costs.

Among the many machines introduced or showcased during the week, the debut of the MAGNA MT130J stood out as a particularly memorable moment. Its enormous jaw opening, heavy-duty design, and high-capacity crushing capabilities made it one of the most striking pieces of equipment on display, offering a glimpse into how the next generation of large-scale mobile crushing equipment may reshape aggregate production in the years ahead.o match your goals. We’re looking forward to making new connections and helping them get the best solutions for their needs.”
