In October, the Community Champions across Powerscreen of California, Nevada & Hawaii brought staff together in the true spirit of unity and compassion to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From our depots across the region, employees wore pink, baked, and brought in sweet treats for a cause close to many hearts, raising awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Each location hosted its own local fundraiser, turning what could have been an ordinary workday into something truly special. Tables were filled with cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and pastries. Team members shared stories of loved ones who have either won the fight or lost the fight with breast cancer, while also reflecting on the strength and resilience of those battling breast cancer in our communities. Every treat sold or shared served as a reminder of the courage shown by survivors and their families.
Angela Torres, Community Champion, Powerscreen of CA, NV, & HI shared, “These bake sales were more than just raising money, it was about connection. Seeing everyone come together and contribute more than I anticipated reminded me and my colleagues how powerful it is when we all collaborate for a cause that touches so many of us.”
What made the day truly memorable was not just the delicious baked goods but the sense of community that filled every office. From technicians and sales representatives to administrative teams and leadership, everyone played a role in making the event a success. It wasn’t just about raising money; it was about standing together in solidarity with those affected by breast cancer and helping to make a difference beyond the walls of our company.
Through this initiative, the Powerscreen of California, Nevada & Hawaii family cheerfully contributed to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to providing early detection, education, and support services to those impacted by breast cancer. The funds raised will help provide vital resources to individuals and families navigating one of life’s toughest challenges.
This event was one of many ways our teams demonstrate what it means to be Community Champions; a value deeply embedded in our company culture. Whether it’s through fundraising, volunteering, or offering a helping hand, we believe in using our collective strength to uplift the communities where we live and work.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month served as a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness, like baking a batch of cookies or buying a cupcake, can have a lasting impact. It showcased the heart and unity that define Powerscreen of California, Nevada & Hawaii, proving that when we come together for a cause, we can create something truly meaningful.
