Powerscreen products can be divided into
4 categories:
1)
Screening
Applications include mining,
coal, aggregate, sand and gravel
quarry's. Screening products screen
material and sort by size, typically 3
end products. End products are sold,
used (e.g. for road building), or
processed again e.g. crushed to make a
smaller product.
2)
Washing
A typical application would be
a sand or gravel pit. Products are
screened using the same products as
above and then washed to remove fines
(particles of sand and soil) which can
be reclassified and sold as an end
product rather than a waste material.
The clean products can be sold and
reused.
3)
Recycling
A growing area due to Global
recycling legislation which is reducing
the amount of demolition, household and
commercial waste sent to landfill sites.
Recycling products screen waste by size
and weight. Valuable products can be
recovered, resold and reused.
Applications include local government
and private recycling stations.
4)
Powerscreen Genuine Parts
A valuable part of the company
supporting Powerscreen users all over
the world. There are 2 Parts
distribution centres; the main World
Parts Centre at Dungannon, N. Ireland
and one in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, to
support the North & South American
market. This ensures Parts can reach a
customer, to most places, within a day
reducing the down time for the end user.
